TGSRTC to pay a fine of ₹21.72 crore.

Action against 'Go Rural India' organization. A major scam related to TGSRTC has come to light. The ED revealed that the organization ‘Go Rural India’, under the pretext of advertisements, took ₹21.72 crore from TGSRTC. TGSRTC had entered into an agreement with this organization to display advertisements on its buses. However, instead of giving the revenue generated from this agreement to RTC, the organization is found to have conducted business through its affiliate companies, as per the ED’s investigation.

Through advertisements, the revenue that should have been given to RTC was directly diverted into the organization's own accounts, and ‘Go Rural India’ kept the ₹21.72 crore, leaving TGSRTC empty-handed. The ED has identified these actions as part of unfair business dealings. In this context, ₹6.47 crore worth of assets belonging to ‘Go Rural India’ have been temporarily seized. The organization has used the consequences of advertisements for its own benefit without establishing any related financial advantage for TGSRTC.

The funds were converted favorably through various affiliate companies, circumventing the amount that should have been given to RTC. The ED is investigating this matter. Meanwhile, Telangana RTC and ED officials are preparing to take stringent decisions regarding policies and actions to be taken against the ‘Go Rural India’ organization. With the outstanding ₹21.72 crore dues to TGSRTC, the ED is conducting further investigations and taking steps to break down all related affiliate companies and business operations.
