The Andhra Pradesh government has announced the district rankings under the Swarna Andhra-Swachh Andhra program, aiming to enhance cleanliness in rural and urban areas. The Andhra Pradesh government has announced the district rankings under the Swarna Andhra-Swachh Andhra program. These rankings were allocated based on a total of 14 indicators. Aspects such as the construction of individual toilets, public toilets, door-to-door waste collection, solid waste segregation, cleanliness, and greenery were considered for the allocation of marks.
According to these rankings, NTR district secured the first position with 129 points out of 200. Alluri Sitarama Raju district secured the 26th position with 81 points. The government revealed these rankings considering the performance of other districts and cleanliness standards.
Through this program, the government aims to improve cleanliness standards in rural and urban areas. Various suggestions, funds, and plans are being allocated to each district as incentives. Special actions are being taken to achieve the Swachh Andhra objectives.
